The Salvation Army Food Pantry Dangerously Empty!

Chattanooga, TN –The Salvation Army food pantry located within its Social Services office at 2140 East 28th Street, alerted administration it is not capable of putting together one complete food box for a family. "We have odds and ends, a can here or there, mostly vegetables, but not enough to put together three full meals in a food box," shares Sandy Leavell, Director of Social Services for The Salvation Army. "We are desperately needing the community to donate food!"

The Salvation Army is asking the community to step forward and donate non-perishable food items. Most needed items include: proteins like peanut butter, canned meats, beans, and chili. For a full list of items, please visit: All items can be brought to The Salvation Army located at 822 McCallie Avenue  or to the Social Services Office located at 2140 East 28th Street , 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday – Friday.
