Greatest deficit this season for The Salvation Army of Greater Chattanooga Area in its Red Kettle donations!

Chattanooga, TN – With only three days left to ring bells and collect Red Kettle donations, The Salvation Army is very concerned it will not meet their goal of $500,000. "We are $43,000 behind where we were at this point last year," states Area Commander, Major Robert Lyle. "We have faith that God will provide through our generous community, and those in need will be taken care of this holiday season and throughout the year. We just have to be patient on when the donations will arrive."

The week after Christmas typically continues to be a strong fundraising time for The Salvation Army with neighbors making tax-deductible year end gifts. The Salvation Army will be open and available to receive monetary gifts, stock gifts, vehicles and material donations.

Donations can be made at , mailing The Salvation Army at 822 McCallie Avenue, Chattanooga, TN 37403 , or by calling 423-756-1023 .

For additional information, please call The Salvation Army at 423-756-1023 .
