Women's Auxiliary holds its first Spring Social Recruitment Luncheon
May 4, 2016
Spring was in the air at this year's Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary Spring Social held on May 4th at the Renaissance Center! It was a time of newness and growth for this women's volunteer ministry group. Seasoned members invited friends and planted the seeds on how they could become part of a meaningful army of women who join The Salvation Army in Doing the Most Good throughout the year!
Women's Auxiliary member Ruth Cote inspired the audience with a talk on "What is the Women's Auxiliary?" Social Service Director Sandy Leavell educated all on the new Pathway of Hope program, which is an integral part of The Salvation Army Social Services Department and is working to end generational poverty. The women enjoyed the angelic voices of special guests, The Scenic City Chorus, as they blessed the ladies with their talented acapella barber shop style of singing.
Overall, there were 70 in attendance and the ladies plan on making this an annual event! For more information please visit the Women's Auxiliary page.
