Flowers of Hope
Flowers of Hope is the Chattanooga Salvation Army's special answer to loneliness, hopelessness and discouragement. Through the beauty of flowers, volunteers reach out to those who need encouragement in places like nursing homes, homeless outreach facilities, hospitals and other places where hope is so often lost. It is your chance to bring light to someone's day, and it is also one of the easiest ways to volunteer in Chattanooga!
How it works:
Instead of throwing flowers away, Food City donates flowers that are just beyond normal shelf life. Volunteers who gather on Flower Day create beautiful arrangements, write notes of encouragement and deliver the bouquets to those who can use support in our community. It's that simple, and it is amazing how such a seemingly small act can have so large an impact!
The Chattanooga Salvation Army is dedicated to doing the most good in our community. Because of our Chattanooga volunteers and through the thoughtfulness of local caring businesses, we are able to make a difference with every smile!

For Businesses with Flowers:
What a great way to show that you care as a business owner! Let The Salvation Army receive your flowers that have been pulled from the shelves. With flowers that are just past normal shelf life, we get a chance to use them and bring happiness to others in a simple act of kindness. By participating, you can take satisfaction in knowing that you are bringing others joy, supporting your customer's community, embracing environmental responsibility through recycling, and by being a force for good in our community. We are looking forward to hearing from you!
