DAY 17: The angels had a message to deliver. It was for a never-to-be-repeated event. The birth of God’s Son. What did they say? ‘Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favour rests.’ Seventeen words. Nothing half-hearted. No niggling doubts. The ultimate in praise. For the ultimate in gifts.
And they announced peace! Peace from God. Peace with God. Peace of heart. Peace of mind. All peace is found in God. That is the way of it. Peace exists in him. And in being right with him. As we each welcome him, he offers us peace – beyond all understanding.
